Airport security was a very fumbling experience. After that I was determined to find something much more convenient, and since watching everyone with the new 'spinner' wheeled luggage, I decided to go for that. Well, there are LOTS around. But this one appealed due to the description - and it is all true. It is very lightweight, it fits into the overhead easily, it is very easy to get out your laptop for airport security, and it practically rolls itself. (by the way, I am female and not tall! just so you can understand my perspective from the 'lightweight' and 'getting it into the overhead compartment easily'). You can find these features in rolling laptop bags - but they are very hard to find in a bag with 4 spinner wheels.I really love the spinner feature because I can walk along with my laptop spinner in one hand and the larger suitcase spinner in the other. They glide very easily along beside me, and I can maneuver very easily. It's so much easier than with the "pull-behind-you" styles of cases. After three weeks of constant use and many flights, I have decided I need to get rid of it. It barely fits under most seats and doesn't fit under many. The four wheels stick out and catch on the under-seat supports. But the worst thing is the poor layout and user features. The zippers stick and there is not a good place to put a power brick or cables. In the innermost compartment there are snap-together straps that look like restraints for clothing, but the space is recessed in such a way that you can't really get to it and the space is so small I can't imagine what kind of clothing you would keep there. I think this bag is probably better for someone who is on the road in a car and will be making office calls. You could carry a laptop and documents, but leave the brick and cables in the car or back at a hotel... Read more |
